FM-approved solar system at Tetra Pak factory in China
JUAL has delivered a solar PV system to one of Tetra Pak's production buildings in Hohhot, China.
The installation supports Tetra Pak's global strategy to reduce CO₂ emissions and increase the use of renewable energy in production.
Our PV-X system sets new standards for safety and stability in solar installations.
The system is FM 4478 approved, which means it meets some of the world's strictest requirements for fire safety and resilience.
In fact, it has been tested to withstand up to 5 kN/m² (105 psf) - equivalent to approximately one ton per solar panel.
The FM 4478 approval and the comprehensive, real-life fire test prove that the construction of PV-X effectively stops the spread of fire, maintaining the overall fire safety of the building.
Therefore, the FM approval also allows for low insurance premiums and extra peace of mind for the building owner.
