Aluminium sub roof ventilation

Robust aluminium ventilation spigot for under-roof ventilation. Insect net is permanently mounted.

Discreet and efficient ventilation of sub-roofs

Efficient ventilation of the sub-roof is essential to protect the roof structure against moisture, mould and condensation. With JUAL’s aluminium sub-roof ventilation, you get a robust and reliable solution that ensures continuous airflow – even in constructions with low installation height.

The product is designed for professionals who need a simple and durable solution for ventilating sub-roofs in both new builds and renovation projects. It is manufactured from aluminium and equipped with a fixed insect mesh, providing protection against insect intrusion without restricting air circulation.

Construction and materials

The aluminium sub-roof ventilation from JUAL is made of strong, weather-resistant aluminium, making it particularly well suited to the Nordic climate with rain, snow, frost and large temperature fluctuations. Aluminium is not only resistant to corrosion – it is also lightweight and easy to work with, which simplifies both transport and installation.

The ventilation spigot has a construction height of only 22.5 mm, making it ideal for installation beneath battens where space is limited. The integrated fixing holes in the flange make it easy to secure the ventilation unit with screws or nails – quickly and safely.

Controlled ventilation and protection

The purpose of sub-roof ventilation is to allow air circulation between the sub-roof and the roof covering. This prevents moisture build-up beneath the roofing material and reduces the risk of condensation and mould growth – factors that could otherwise compromise the roof’s service life and insulation capacity.

JUAL’s aluminium sub-roof ventilation is equipped with a permanently fixed insect mesh that prevents bees, wasps and other small animals from entering the ventilation space. The mesh is integrated into the top section, ensuring it cannot detach during use and does not obstruct the airflow.

Areas of application

This type of sub-roof ventilation is typically used in:

  • Ventilated roof structures with a sub-roof
  • Pitched roofs with solid sub-roof or sheet materials
  • Roof constructions with low installation height
  • Residential buildings, industrial facilities and outbuildings
  • Renovation projects where existing ventilation is upgraded

The discreet design ensures that the aluminium sub-roof ventilation is not visible from the outside, yet it plays a crucial role in maintaining the health and functionality of the roof.
